I am a Strategic Communications sophomore at Texas Tech University. I spend a quality amount of time studying psychology, policy and communication strategies in order to help drive my ambition for positive change on a large scale basis. My upcoming plans include studying aboard in Europe to further these interests and my skillsets. On my personal time I work as a certified lifeguard, as well as routinely working out so I can stay in the best shape I can physically, as well as mentally, no matter how stressful the environment may be.

Lifeguarding has taught me many valuable skills and life lessons that I'll likely hold on to forever. Thanks to this job I have learned discipline, commitment, and how to take care of individuals during emergencies. From elevated awareness and team communication all the way to leadership qualities and administering first aid, anyone can learn something of value from a job like this like I have. Not only did Lifeguarding help me become a better person and help others, it taught me how to do it.
